The Road to Hope team is currently looking for candidates to fill the position of:
Resident Assistant
Position Summary:
Provide much needed relief for our house-parents on weekends! Maintain the residential care and support provided to the moms and babies staying in Hope House, our main maternity home. A high level of trust, confidentiality, organization, time management, and teamwork are required for this position.

Strong communication and relationship skills in both one-on-one and group scenarios
Comfortability working with and serving individuals of diverse backgrounds with kindness and compassion, and with sensitivity and wisdom regarding those who have experienced trauma
Willing and able to support our Christ-centered mission to serve the most vulnerable in our community, under-supported pregnant mothers and their children
Quick learner and self-starter that can maintain schedules, keep organized, and naturally looks for areas to provide additional support to clients and weekday staff whenever possible
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and lift 8-25 pounds frequently
Experience with pregnancy, preferred
Valid Driver's License, required
CPR Certification *
Food Handler's Card *
*CPR and Food Handler’s Certifications can be acquired and paid for by Road to Hope in the onboarding process.

This is a position primarily holding weekend hours, with a total of 29 hours worked from 5pm on Friday to 5pm on Sunday. Resident Assistant shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis; individuals can expect to work between 1-2 weekends per month.
Attendance at all-staff meetings is required as well as ongoing training and program meetings. All-staff meetings occur once a month from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Meeting and training times are posted in advance.
There may be opportunities for extra shifts during the week when our house-parents are on vacation or out of town for work.
Compensation for this position pays an average of $493 per weekend. Onsite sleeping arrangements are provided during the shift.
